Understanding Money Through Action, Not Theory
We started in late 2019 because too many business owners were drowning in spreadsheets that made zero sense.
After years of watching capable entrepreneurs struggle with their cash flow—not because they lacked skill, but because nobody taught them how to actually read the financial story their business was telling—we built something different. This isn't about complex formulas or academic theories. It's about seeing patterns, understanding what your working capital reveals, and making choices that actually matter.
How This All Started
Building practical financial understanding wasn't our first plan. But after meeting dozens of stressed business owners who felt lost in their own numbers, it became pretty clear what needed to exist.
The Beginning Conversation
Started with informal sessions in Adelaide cafes, helping friends decode their balance sheets. Turned out nearly everyone was confused by the same fundamental concepts.
Structured Programs Launch
Created our first proper course focusing entirely on working capital analysis. Small groups, lots of real examples, no jargon allowed.
Expanded Methodology
Now teaching practical financial analysis to business owners across Australia who want to understand their numbers without getting a finance degree.
What Drives Our Teaching
We've built this entire approach around one simple idea: financial literacy shouldn't require translating everything into plain language after the fact. It should be taught in plain language from the start.

Real Numbers Only
Every example we use comes from actual businesses. Made anonymous, sure, but completely real. Because hypothetical case studies with perfect numbers teach you exactly nothing about messy reality.
Questions Welcome
If something doesn't make sense, that's our fault, not yours. We've found that the "stupid question" usually points directly at something we explained poorly.
No Rush Mentality
Understanding financial patterns takes time. Our programs run over months because that's how long it actually takes to internalize these concepts and apply them to your specific situation.
Who's Teaching This
Rather than pretending we're a huge team, let's be honest about who you'll actually be working with and learning from during the programs.

Background & Teaching Approach
Spent twelve years helping businesses that were profitable on paper but constantly stressed about cash. That disconnect between theoretical success and actual bank balances became the core of what I now teach.
Started these programs because I kept having the same conversation: capable business owners who felt embarrassed about not understanding their own financials. There's no reason that knowledge should be kept mysterious.
My teaching style is probably more casual than you'd expect from finance education. I use lots of real examples, encourage interruptions, and firmly believe that if you're confused, I need to explain it better. Programs start in autumn 2025 for anyone interested in joining.
